L’Itinéraire will launch the second edition of OpusOne, an academy of introduction to composition, in 2025.
It is open to all musicians (instrumentalists, singers, electronic musicians) who wish to have their first experience in the field of musical composition. There is no requirement to have previously studied composition or writing.
Participants will engage in an open and unrestricted approach to musical creation through collective workshops open to all. Six active participants will then be guided in a composition project by the three mentors: Michelle Agnès Magalhaes, Suzanne Giraud, and Éric Maestri. The works composed by the participants will be performed by the musicians of L’Itinéraire.
The academy takes place primarily online. The classes will be conducted in English and French.
Creative workshops, open to all enrolled participants.
Sound imagination. From the musical idea to the sketch. Score or improvisation? The question of styles and aesthetics.
Electroacoustic composition as a sketch for the instrumental. Developing your own material. The 'reservoirs' method – Shared musical creativity exercises.
Among the enrolled, 6 active participants will be selected. They will receive personalized guidance in their composition project from the three mentors.
The works created by the participants will be rehearsed, performed, and recorded by the musicians of L’Itinéraire in June 2025.
